Saturday - 1.30.10

Unfortunately, I have to work this weekend. I hate when I have to work weekends, but I'm thankful to have a job that I enjoy, so I will try not to complain too much :)

I took a little break to head over to my friend Kimberly's house so B could play with his little buddies and I could catch up with their mommies. Kimberly set up a really cute craft for them to do - Valentine's Shakers. The kids all seemed to enjoy it. Although, B didn't quite get the point of the paintbrush, instead he painted his hands with it and used his hand to paint the plate.. eh, whatever works!

We finished up and let the kiddos run around and play for a bit. I love getting together and watching them all play.

When we left Kimberly's, it was nearly dinner time, so we headed home to pick up Adam and my parents then went to Five Guys, and for a quick train ride around the mall. B loves his trains!

Thursday - 1.28.10

Happy Birthday Damian!

Today was my little brother's 26th birthday, after work we headed to Kan Ki for dinner where Mr. B devoured his fried rice. It's one of the few foods that he really loves (along with bananas, mandarin oranges and cheese).

We headed back to our house for cake and ice cream.. please ignore the "1" candles, we totally forgot to get them and it was either that, or the "33" from Adam's last birthday.. so #1 it was :)

B helped Uncle D blow out his candles..

Then convinced him to spin him around and around.. over and over..

And begged for more when Uncle D stopped :)

Tuesday - 1.26.10

I've been posting pictures on facebook (if I don't update the blog enough for you, go there for pictures, I post from my phone fairly often) of B in the bathtub with crazy colored water - one in particular with yellow water. Rest assured that we do not let our son bathe in water that he has peed in! It's Crayola color tablets, and B is a huge fan. I love the water when he tosses the blue ones in, makes me want to go diving!

It's kind of hard to get a good picture in his bathroom, the tub is in a really small area and the lens I was shooting with is not at all forgiving. I tried though :) B seriously loves bath time. Sometimes we can't get his clothes off quick enough, he tries to climb in the tub with them on. :)

Monday - 1.25.10

Someone decided that Mr. B's tent is a nice place to sleep..

BUSTED Buddy!! :)

I had my first Fraxel treatment on Friday, the 22nd. It's healing kind of weird, not quite what I expected. Basically they take this laser and it makes little holes in your skin, then new skin grows as it heals.. they repeat the process 5-6 times and the scar should be barely visible. I'm going to link the picture, since I'm sure not all of you want to see my funky Fraxel-ed scar :) It's here.

When I went in to have the treatment done, they biopsied yet another spot under my arm. Fingers crossed that it comes back normal and I can put all of this mess behind me.

Saturday - 1.23.10

We finally had a weekend with absolutely nothing to do. It was WONDERFUL! With the craziness and stress of the holidays, we haven't had time to really relax.. we took full advantage of that today! We spent most of the day hanging out around the house, then headed to the play ground in our neighborhood for some fun :)

Sunday - 1.17.10

A typical morning in the Smith house. Braden wakes us up between 5:30 and 6AM. We head downstairs and put B in his chair to wait for breakfast, he's usually pretty patient (and adorable), he'll put his head down or watch Blue's Clues.

Some mornings though, he is not so patient. (Particularly when I pull out the camera.)

He is always a happy camper once you get him his grub. Especially if it involves a banana. I don't know where he puts it all. This morning he ate a blueberry waffle, 2 bananas, 2 fruit cups and a few bites of my muffin. Don't worry, we don't give him all of that to start with, he just continually asks for more. Crazy kid :)

Saturday - 1.16.10

Adam has seriously been itching to pull his smoker out again. He loves smoking pork and turkey.. and I love eating it, so its win-win :) We invited a few friends over (since it makes a TON of food) and had a really great time. B woke Daddy up in time to get the meat going.. you know.. at 5:30AM! :)

We spent most of the day just hanging out around the house, prepping food and straightening up a bit. B decided to boycott his nap, he only slept for about an hour (he usually naps for at least 2) and was up and ready to go. The next set of pictures were right after he woke up, I was playing with my camera settings and while the pictures aren't all that wonderful (if you're looking at the elements that go into a good photo, that is), they made me giggle :) This was over a span of maybe a minute, if that. B is SUCH a little wiggle worm!

Once our friends showed up, Mr. B went into cranky-pants mode. He does not do well without his naps. He played with his little buddy Aiden for a bit and shared all of his new toys from Santa with him.

Shortly after this picture was taken, we called my parents to pick up B and he spent the rest of the night hanging out with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle D. Poor guy just doesn't do well without his naps :( We had a great time visiting with everyone, but missed the little (okay, not-so-little) guy!

We're so lucky to be blessed with such great friends :) Kelly is on the left, she's pregnant with her first child, a little boy who I'm sure will be best buds with Braden and Aiden. Then there's Theresa, me and Jenn. Thanks to Jenn for sharing her pictures of the BBQ with me, since I was dealing with Professor Poopy Pants, I didn't even think to grab my camera. Definite Mommy Fail!
